COMICPALOOZA | HOUSTON TX, MAY 26-28

HAPPY FRIDAY GEEKS AND GEEKETTES! If you haven’t purchased your passes for Comicpalooza yet…. “Houston we have a problem”

Space City is hosting it’s premiere Comic-Con this month with an ALL-STAR line-up including, Stephen Amell, Chad L. Coleman, Alaqua Fox as well as WWE Stars Mick Foley and Lita (personal favorite) but that story is for another day. The important thing is we all get a chance to meet amazing Actors, Voice Actors, Illustrators and more.

There are few nostalgic feelings we remember that stand above the rest. The feelings of LAN party’s on XBOX CRUSHING mountain dews and playing Halo with the team, or the Carpet and Popcorn smell of a Blockbuster…. The good news is Comic-Cons give us the best of both. I can’t think of a better feeling than walking into a convention center and scoping all of the merchandise and taking pictures with cosplayers across all my favorite genres.

The good news is we are just a few short weeks away from one of the best events in Houston.

It’s all taking place at the George R. Brown Convention Center. Doors to the exhibition floor open on Friday at 3 p.m. allowing shoppers to peruse the exhibition floor while programming panels, special attractions and other lively activations take place throughout the venue. Then, after its successful debut last year, the CP Friday Night Bash amps up the fun with more entertainment and music kicking off what’s sure to be a memorable weekend. Saturday and Sunday will be no different with enlightening panels, diverse local and national exhibitors, stellar guests, and special attractions like the Itasha Showdown which is a fun car show themed out with all your favorites and so much more.

Passes can be purchased at the link below. Come see me and other Geekcasters in person all three days!

With C2E2 2026 around the corner we take a look back at our favorite interview from last year

Published

on

C2E2 2025 was such a huge success. I had the wonderful opportunity to interview John Rhys-Davies, Dominic Monaghan, and Phil LaMarr about some of their iconic roles and legendary films.

John Rhys-Davies was exactly how you’d hope he’d be. One word: spectacular. We even got into some insights about how he felt playing Sallah and Gimli that many fans may not have heard before.

Phil LaMarr isn’t just a voice acting legend, he’s an incredible human being. From Star Wars: The Clone Wars to Samurai Jack to Green Lantern, we talked about it all.

Dominic Monaghan was charming and delightful. We talked about his experiences working on The Lord of the Rings and Lost, along with an untold story from the set of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

From the panels to the interviews and the overall atmosphere of the con, it’s definitely one of our favorites and an unforgettable memory. Dont miss your chance to be a part of C2E2 this year. Get info on attending by visiting: C2E2.com

Published

on

During SDCC week we had a chat with a group of talented VFX artists who’ve worked on just about every major film over the last three decades. From Titanic to The Matrix, at least one of these men have spent countless hours crafting their digital canvas for our entertainment and now they’re here to discuss how they have all became authors of fantasy/science fiction novels.

With us are Alan Chan, Garrett Broussard, Jim Hillin, Scott Kilburn and Wilson Kincaid. Hear about their career in the industry, some of their most challenging times as VFX artists, and what motivated each and every one of them to become writers.

A look back at the best SDCC activation – Peacefest 2025!

Published

on

SDCC was back to its full strength in 2025 with multiple major studios returning to the fold and showing off new projects with interactive panels and elaborate activaitons. At the top of the list with DC Comics ‘Peacefest’ celebrating the second season of Peacemaker. The activation included dozens of props from the series, free giveaways, a photo booth, and visit from Eagly and it was headlined by glam rock bands, Steel Panther and Foxy Shazam. See a sizzle reel of the event below.

With so many new projects on the horizon in 2026 and beyond for DC Comics, what will they bring to SDCC in July? A post Supergirl activation is likely to go over well with fans or perhaps something related to the Clayface film that drops in September. With it being a year before the Superman sequel set to release in July of 2027, I could even see them putting their focus on the ‘Man of Tomorrow’. We shall see!
