Published

Ettore Ewen, better known to WWE fans as Big E has agreed to become the official game emcee for the USFL’s Michigan Panthers. With their first home game coming up on April 30th, the team expects Big E to add to the USFL’s unique fan first, family-friendly atmosphere.

Big E will emcee a total of five Michigan Panthers home games this season, which will be played at Detroit’s iconic Ford Field. This includes the season home opener on April 30th, as well as May 6th against the Memphis Showboats, May 13th against the Pittsburgh Maulers, May 20th against the Birmingham Stallions, and June 18th against the Philadelphia Stars. That final home game will also be a WWE Superstar Night, which will celebrate the WWE and its fans.

“I am excited to join forces with the USFL and the Panthers as the team returns to Michigan,” said Big E. “Detroit has some of the best fans in the world and I look forward to connecting with them at Ford Field, the host of Summer Slam this August.”

This year’s WWE SummerSlam PLE will emanate from Detroit’s Ford Field on Saturday, August 5th. It will mark the first time in 30 years that WWE will host its historic summer event in Detroit. Tickets for SummerSlam are now available.

Big Mike has been a wrestling fan all his life. As a child, Big Mike enjoyed watching everything he could find on TV and will generally give any organization a chance. In his 20s Big Mike became addicted to attending live, local indy wrestling in the San Antonio and Austin area, which continues to this day. He also enjoys the SciFi and Fantasy worlds of books and movies and doesn’t believe that most of the 8th season of Game of Thrones is canon.
