WWE’s NXT Battleground Invades Lowell, Massachusetts
WWE announced today that the next NXT Premium Live Event following this weekend’s Stand & Deliver, will be Battleground. The event will take place at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Massachusetts on Sunday, May 28th. This will mark only the second time since early 2020 that a stand-alone NXT PLE will take place outside of the state of Florida. The previous event to hold such a distinction was NXT Vengeance Day which took place at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina on February 4th, 2023.
“We look forward to returning NXT to the road and delivering an incredible night of action to the passionate fans of Massachusetts and those watching at home,” said WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative Shawn Michaels.
The card for the show is yet to be know, but will clearly be affected by this weekend’s Stand And Deliver PLE taking place in Los Angeles, California before Night One of WrestleMania. All the major men’s and women’s titles will be on the line this weekend including both the Men’s and Women’s NXT Championships, the Men’s and Women’s NXT Tag Team Championships, and the North American Championship. The Stand and Deliver PLE will stream live exclusively on Peacock in the United States and the WWE Network everywhere else starting at 1pm Eastern/12 pm Central time.
Tickets for the May 28th, NXT Battleground PLE will go on sale Saturday, April 1st at 10 am ET via http://www.tsongacenter.com/.
