Mission Pro Wrestling Kicks Off 2023 with Kickstart My Heart!

Published

Despite Valentine’s Day being right around the corner, the animosity was running high at Mission Pro Wrestling’s first show of 2023, Kickstart My Heart!  A show headlined by a literal battle of the sexes, and stacked with great matches, the action was top notch the entire night.  The conclusion of the show left the fans with some questions, and will undoubtedly prompt a response from La Jefe herself, Thunder Rosa.

The show results as follow,

  • Pre-show 4 corner tag match, Zakai Living and Arik Walker defeated The Texas Treats (Don Juan and Chris Marval), Karate Kidds (David Kidd and Jess E. James), and Brandon Vice and Devin Carter.
  • Official Show opens with a promo for JP Harlow, Joey Hyder, and Boss Baines who get run off by the majority of the Mission Pro Locker Room.
  • The first match saw MJ Santana picking up her first win at Mission Pro via submission versus Ultra Violette who was making her Mission Pro debut.
  •  MPW Cup Battle Royal winner, Casey Blackrose defeated Diego Renay via a devastating “Broken Dreams” back breaker.
  • Money Birds (Gigi Rey and Lady Bird Monroe) defeated Vicious and Delicious (Claudia and Sheeva) to become the number one contenders to the MPW tag team titles. Post match, Claudi and Sheeva attack Gigi and Lady Bird.
  • Tiffany Nieves defeated “La Leona” Alejandra Lion in what became a very personal battle following some remarks Alejandra made online.
  • After a brief intermission, Fan-favorite Emmy Camacho defeated Uju, who was replacing Sio Nieves.
  • Dani Mo defeated Mystii Marks, who had taken out Dani’s original opponent, Vicky Dreamboat when Vicky arrived at the venue.
  • In the main event, The Men’s Revolution (JP Harlow, Joey Hyder, and Boss Baines) defeated Bougie Reality (Madi Wrenkowski and Rache Chanel) and Jazmin Allure after Harlow choked out Rache.  Just before this, Jazmin dropped off the apron when Rache was about to tag her. This prompted a cascade of boos from the crowd, and even got the writer of this article a verbal rebuke when he suggested she wait until after the match to deal with an issue she had.

The next show, Edge of Glory, will be Saturday, April 22nd back at the Salvation Army Mission Corps in San Antonio, TX.  Tickets can be purchased via Mission Pro’s website, missionprowrestling.com or via Eventbright.com. If you have never attended a live Indy wrestling show before, the next show would be the best time to start.

Big Mike has been a wrestling fan all his life. As a child, Big Mike enjoyed watching everything he could find on TV and will generally give any organization a chance. In his 20s Big Mike became addicted to attending live, local indy wrestling in the San Antonio and Austin area, which continues to this day. He also enjoys the SciFi and Fantasy worlds of books and movies and doesn’t believe that most of the 8th season of Game of Thrones is canon.

NXT Superstars and TNA Wrestling Stars to Appear Across Weekly WWE and TNA Programming, WWE Premium Live Events and TNA Pay-Per-Views

WWE and TNA Wrestling announced a multi-year partnership aimed at creating unprecedented crossover opportunities within WWE and TNA programming for NXT Superstars and TNA Wrestling Stars.

The agreement will enable talent to garner additional exposure across key WWE and TNA programming, including weekly flagship shows such as NXT – which airs live on The CW – and TNA iMPACT!, select WWE Premium Live Events and TNA pay-per-views, in turn bolstering their in-ring development with exposure to world-class talent and coaching.

“This historic relationship demonstrates that collaboration and competition do not have to be mutually exclusive,” said Ariel Shnerer, Senior Vice President of Content & Distribution for TNA Wrestling and Anthem Sports & Entertainment. “Our partnership allows the TNA Wrestling brand and its incredible athletes to reach a significantly wider audience, while giving WWE and NXT stars an opportunity to cross the line and gain valuable experience, as they join forces with one of the most talented rosters in professional wrestling today. The response to our collaboration over the past year has been tremendous and both companies have benefited, but the fans have reaped the greatest rewards from this talent crossover and working relationship.
