The Night Agent: The most watched streamed series is back for season 2 on Netflix

Published

on

In the end of season 1 of The Night Agent, POTUS offers to put Peter on the other end of the phone and promotes him to night action agent. Peter will now be part of The Night Action program, which runs deeper than what he could imagine. At the air base, Peter bids farewell to Rose, and promises to call her, and tells her when he does call, she better pick up. Aboard the Air Force jet, Peter is seen unlocking a tablet with facial recognition, then the screen displays “Night Action Mission Brief” with “Top Secret” noted on the bottom.

Season 2 of The Night Agent looks promising. It will feature new locations, new characters, mystery plots and exhilarating combat scenes, with high voltage pursuits.

I had the exciting opportunity to attend a preview screening of the first episode of the much anticipated season 2 of Netflix original series The Night Agent. Lead actor Gabriel Basso, who plays FBI Agent Peter Sutherland, did the honor of doing an in person introduction of the first episode on the upcoming season. He mentioned that Thailand is the starting point of the first episode with Peter’s new operation as a night action agent, and his partner Alice (Brittany Snow). There will be a lot of unexpected twists – a possible compromised Night Action, another mole, and innovative secret weapons. The action sequence follows Peter to New York City and Washington, D.C. Basso also commented that he does the majority of the action stunts, which the audience agrees it adds authenticity to The Night Agent series.

Rose Larkin (Luciane Buchanan) will also have a key role in the second season. She tries to settle back into the cyber tech world, but has difficulty dealing with post-traumatic stress from the assassination of her aunt and uncle, who were counterintelligence night agents, and the events that led up to her life being placed in jeopardy. However, in the turn of events, it is now Rose that gets the call from Peter. Will Rose still be a trustworthy ally?

The Night Agent season 2 will be streaming on Netflix starting on January 23, 2025.

Gabriel Basso took questions from the members of the audience – Will there be a season 3?  Where did the filming take place? And, my question – Would he consider becoming an (FBI) agent? See his response here:
