Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2 Targeting Late 2025 Release
Monarch: Legacy of Monsters concluded this past January but the Apple TV+ hit is already in the works for a second season. Reportedly the writing team is drafting a second season that could be eyeing a late 2025 release. The first season was full of elaborate action sequences, plot twists, and oh yeah…terrifying monsters. Fans may be a little surprised to see less of Godzilla than what the trailers make the series seem to be however, the shows focus is primarily on the Monarch organization and the Shaw and Randa families.

Synopsis: Following the thunderous battle between Godzilla and the Titans that leveled San Francisco, and the shocking revelation that monsters are real, “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” tracks two siblings following in their father’s footsteps to uncover their family’s connection to the secretive organization known as Monarch. Clues lead them into the world of monsters and ultimately down the rabbit hole to Army officer Lee Shaw (played by Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell), taking place in the 1950s and half a century later where Monarch is threatened by what Shaw knows. The dramatic saga – spanning three generations – reveals buried secrets and the ways that epic, earth-shattering events can reverberate through our lives.

SYNOPSIS: “Dear Killer Nannies” is a gripping coming-of-age series told through Juampi’s perspective as a child, the son of Colombia’s most notorious drug lord, Pablo Escobar Gaviria. As he grows up, Juampi’s world begins to fracture, shaped by his father’s expanding criminal empire and the constant presence of danger — embodied by the hitmen who serve as his “nannies.” Featuring a stellar cast including John Leguizamo as Pablo Escobar Gaviria, the series explores loyalty, fear, and the loss of innocence, revealing the human cost of a childhood spent inside one of history’s most infamous criminal legacies.

Apple TV+ unveiled the captivating trailer for highly anticipated new thriller Down Cemetery Road, starring and executive produced by Academy Award, BAFTA, Golden Globe and Emmy Award-winner Emma Thompson, and also starring Golden Globe and two-time Olivier Award winner Ruth Wilson. The eight-episode series will make its global debut on Apple TV+ with the first two episodes on Wednesday, October 29 followed by new episodes every Wednesday through December 10.
Synopsis: When a house explodes in a quiet Oxford suburb and a girl disappears in the aftermath, neighbor Sarah Trafford (Wilson) becomes obsessed with finding her and enlists the help of private investigator Zoë Boehm (Thompson). Zoë and Sarah suddenly find themselves in a complex conspiracy that reveals people long believed dead are still among the living, while the living are fast joining the dead.
The ensemble cast includes BAFTA Award winner Adeel Akhtar, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett, Emmy Award nominee Tom Goodman-Hill, BAFTA Award winner Darren Boyd, Tom Riley, SAG Award nominee Adam Godley, Sinead Matthews, Ken Nwosu, Fehinti Balogun and Aiysha Hart.
Produced by 60Forty Films, “Down Cemetery Road” is written by Morwenna Banks (“Slow Horses”) who also serves as executive producer alongside Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta and Tom Nash at 60Forty Films, Thompson, and “Down Cemetery Road” author Mick Herron. Natalie Bailey (“Bay of Fires”) serves as lead director for the series.
The series joins the celebrated, Emmy Award-winning spy drama “Slow Horses” on Apple TV+, recently renewed for a seventh season in advance of the fifth season premiere on September 24, 2025. “Slow Horses,” on which Banks also wrote, is based on Herron’s celebrated “Slough House” book series and stars Academy Award winner Sir Gary Oldman.
