Five Nights at Freddy’s First Look and Release Date
The long awaited Five Nights at Freddy’s movie has revealed its first promotional photo. The animatronic entertainer is standing outside a Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza holding the hand of a young child in a striped shirt. Fans of the game already understand one major component of the game and you should too…every little detail is important. Make a mental note of everything from here on out.
Now the release date. Such a film would best be served in the glorious month that is October. And the weekend before Halloween will now be filled with FNAF movie watch parties as the release date falls on October 27th. One interesting aspect of this release is that it will have a dual theatrical and streaming release. Freddy and friends will also arrive on the Peacock streaming service. Blumhouse has had multiple films recently released on the platform the same day in theaters.
Synopsis: The film follows a troubled security guard as he begins working at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. While spending his first night on the job, he realizes the night shift at Freddy’s won’t be so easy to make it through.
Starring Josh Hutcherson (Ultraman, The Hunger Games franchise), Matthew Lillard (Good Girls, Scream), Elizabeth Lail (You, Mack & Rita), Kat Conner Sterling (We Have A Ghost, 9-1-1), Piper Rubio (Holly & Ivy, Unstable) and Mary Stuart Masterson (Blindspot, Fried Green Tomatoes). Five Nights at Freddy’s is directed by Emma Tammi (The Wind, Blood Moon) and is written by Scott Cawthon, Emma Tammi and Seth Cuddeback. The film’s iconic animatronic characters will be created by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop.
